Mavs fall behind early and can't come back
4/25/2017 4:16 AM

The Mavs dug themselves into an early hole and could not find a way out.  Despite out hitting the Lions 11-7, the Mavs could not find a way to drive in runs.  Mountain View used four pitchers, with Ryan McCormick getting the start and going three innings.  Jaydon Yancey, Brendan Boily, and Carson Smith rounded out the effort on the hill.

The Mavs had plenty of hits, but could not string them together to get runs across the plate. Charlie Alandt led the offense with 3 hits and an RBI.  Boden Mills did his part by adding two hits.  Devon Sharts had a pinch hit single and scored the Mavs second run. Juan Garcia came off the bench and went one for one with the only other RBI by plating Sharts on a single to left.
