Matt Rasmussen - Head Varsity Coach
Matt graduated from Twin Falls High School in 1990. While at
Twin Falls High School he earned All-State honors in both football
and baseball. Matt was a 4 year varsity baseball starter
and part of two State Championship teams. In 1990 he was
named The Topps Amateur Player of the Year for the state of
Idaho.
Matt went on to play 4 years of collegiate baseball at the University
of New Mexico, Utah Valley Community College, and Albertson
College. He served as team captain at both Utah Valley and
Albertson College. He later finished a degree in Secondary
Education with teaching certifications in both Physical Education and
Business Education at Idaho State University.
He has coached high school and legion baseball in Nampa, Whitefish –
MT, Pocatello, Twin Falls, and at Mountain View. His first head
coaching job came in 2001 at Twin Falls High School. Matt
led Twin Falls to the 5A State Playoffs each of his 3 seasons and
State Runner Up in 2003. He was named District IV Baseball
Coach of the Year in 2001, 2002, and 2003. Matt was named the
5A SIC Baseball Coach of the Year in 2007. He is currently
serving as the President of the Idaho Baseball Coaches
Association.
Matt has been the Head Baseball Coach at Mountain View since 2004,
where he currently teaches Physical Education and Fitness.

Luke Wolf - Varsity
Assistant
Luke
graduated from Centennial High School in 1998, where he was nominated
First Team SIC Catcher and First Team All State. He attended Blue Mountain Community
College in 1998-2000 and was Team Captain in 2000. Completed his college career at
George Fox University from 2000-2002 where he was Team Captain in
2002.
During
the summers of 2000-2002, Luke coached the Centennial Cannons in the
American Legion Baseball League.
Since 2004 he has coached both Football and Baseball at
Mountain View High School, where he currently teaches American
Character.
Luke
is an Associate Scout: Kansas City Royals. Married to Angela, they
have a daughter Payten and a son Ryker.

Chris Brownsten - Varsity
Assistant
Chris graduated from Tennessee Wesleyan College in 2006 with a B.A. in
General Management, where he played for 2 years and was an assistant
coach in 2006. Prior to that
he spent 2 years at Monroe Community College, where he was a NJCAA
All American and led the nation in ERA in 2003.
He played for the Geneva Red Wings in the NYCBL
and the New Market Rebels of the Valley League, both NCAA sanctioned
summer leagues. Chris also
played independent ball for the Alexandria Aces of the United
Baseball League.
Chris joined Mountain View in 2010 as an Assistant
Coach and works with the pitchers.

Chris Caban - JV Coach
Chris graduated from Cypress Creek High School in
2002 in Orlando, Florida, where he was nominated to the All County,
Region, and State teams. He played 4 years at the University of North
Florida in Jacksonville, Florida where they won the Peach Belt Conference
Titles (2003-2005), Regional Championship (2005), and National Runner
Up (2005) at the Division II College World Series. His senior year,
the school moved up to Division I and was not eligible for
post-season. He earned a B.S in History with a Minor in Political
Science in 2006.
After graduation, Chris coached JV Basketball and
Baseball at his alma mater Cypress Creek H.S. for 2 years before
moving to Boise, Idaho. This is his first year coaching at
MountainView H.S.

Adam Hiaring – Freshman Coach
Adam graduated from Skyview High School in 2003 where he helped lead
Skyview to a district title in 2001 and a 4th place State
finish in 2002. In 2002
and 2003 he was voted to the Idaho High School All State Team
and was a member of the 2001 Idaho Baseball-USA team. Baseball Northwest ranked him the
#2 catcher in Idaho during his senior year.
After High School Adam went on to play 4 years of NCAA Division II
Baseball at Northwest Nazarene University and graduated with a degree
in Business Administration.
After college he had a short summer stint playing
semi-pro ball down south, before returning home to Idaho.
Adam married Lindsey in November of 2007. They have a son Tavin, who will be
3 in May and a daughter on the way, due in June.
